« On the feast of the Pheophany of the Lord, consecration of the water took place in the parish of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker, on the Cherwell River, in Oxford »

On January 19, 2023, on the feast of the Pheophany, a Great consecration of water took place on the Cherwell River in Oxford.
Following the Divine Liturgy, Dean of the Diocesan District of Central England, Rector of the Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker in Oxford, Archpriest Stephen Platt, and the parishioners made their way to the mouth of the Cherwell River, located not far from the church. Because of the flood of the river during the winter, the consecration of water took place not in a traditional place, but on a private property, access to which was organised by Orthodox believers.
After the Great consecration of water, Father Stephen sprinkled those present with holy water and addressed the parishioners with words of edification.
