On the evening of April 21, 2022, on the eve of Friday of the Passion Week, His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh, temporarily Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA and Canada, celebrated Great Friday Matins with the reading of the 12 Gospels of the Holy Passion of Our Lord Jesus Christ in the Church of the Transfiguration of the Lord in Bogorodskoye, Moscow.
His Grace was assisted by archpriest Damian Kruglik and the clergy of the church.
During the divine service, 12 Gospel beginnings were read, telling about the Suffering and Death on the Cross of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
