« Formation of new diocesan districts of the Sourozh diocese »

At a meeting of the Diocesan Council of the Diocese of Sourozh, held on September 28, 2023 at the Dormition Cathedral in London, and chaired by His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh, decisions were made to change the structure of diocesan districts.
The Deanery of Wales was separated from the diocesan district of Northern England and Wales. Hegumen Deiniol (Davies), Rector of the Church of All Saints of Wales in Blaenau Ffestiniog, Wales, was appointed Dean of the diocesan district of Wales.
The Deanery of Scotland was separated from the diocesan district of Scotland and Northern Ireland. Priest Alexander Menshikov, Rector of the parishes of St. Macarius of Aberdeen in Aberdeen and of the Annunciation of the Most Holy Mother of God in Dundee, Scotland, was appointed Dean of the diocesan district of Scotland.
A new diocesan district of the British Overseas Territories has been formed, and the Secretary of the Sourozh diocese, Archpriest Dimitry Nedostupenko, has been appointed to the position of Dean, in addition to the existing obediences.
