« Bishop Matthew of Surozh met with the parishioners of the Church of the Transfiguration of the Lord in Bogorodskoye, Moscow »

On Sunday, May 29, 2022, as part of the Educational Courses at the Church of the Transfiguration of the Lord in Bogorordsky, Moscow, a meeting was held between Bishop Matthew of Sourozh, temporary Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA and Canada, with the clergy and parishioners of the church.

After a joint prayer, the Rector of the church, archpriest Damian Kruglik, addressed those present with a welcoming speech, introducing His Grace Vladyka Matthew to the participants of the meeting.

The first part of the meeting consisted of a talk with Vladyka, conducted by Timofei Filimonov, Head of the Enlightenment Courses. During the second part, everyone was able to ask their questions to the Right Reverend Vladyka.

During the event, Vladyka Matthew spoke about his path to faith in his youth, his ministry at home and abroad, about the history and activities of the Diocese of Sourozh. The parishioners received answers to their questions about the spiritual life and peculiarities of the parish way of life abroad.

At the end of the conversation, the meeting participants expressed their gratitude to His Eminence and expressed their hope for further communication in a similar format in the future.

According to the parish website of the Church of the Transfiguration of the Lord in Bogorodskoe, more than 40 people attended the meeting with Vladyka Matthew.
