On July 7, 2025, on the Feast of the Nativity of the Holy and Glorious Prophet, Forerunner and Baptist of the Lord John, His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the Dormition Cathedral in London.
At the Divine Liturgy, His Grace was assisted by Archpriest Maxim Nikolsky, Dean of the Diocesan District of South-East England Archpriest Vitaly Polischuk, Archpriest Nikita Kozlov, Protodeacon Vadim Santsevitch and Protodeacon Ioann Sylnik.
The liturgical chants were performed by the chamber choir of the Dormition Cathedral under the direction of Anna Kobrina.
Following the prayer after the communion, the Archpastor and the concelebrating clergy performed a glorification of the feast.
At the end of the service, Bishop Matthew addressed the parishioners with words of sermon and spiritual edification. The translation into English was done by Protodeacon Vadim Santsevitch.
Bishop Matthew warmly congratulated Protodeacon Ioann Sylnik on his name day and presented him with a bouquet of flowers.
