« The Sourozh Diocese held an online meeting dedicated to the memory of St. Tikhon, Patriarch of Moscow and All Rus' »


The event was attended by teachers and parents from parish schools of the Sourozh Diocese. Representatives of parishes from London, Dublin, Manchester and Nottingham joined the conversation.
During the meeting, Archpriest Vitaly Polischuk, a cleric of the Sourozh Diocese, spoke about the life of St. Tikhon, noting the special trials that befell him during the years of the revolutionary turmoil and civil war. Father Vitaly emphasized that it was kindness, wisdom and flexibility in decision-making that helped His Holiness the Patriarch preserve the Russian Orthodox Church during one of the most tragic periods of Russian history.
The participants noted that this meeting became an important part of spiritual enlightenment and strengthening of ties within the Orthodox communities of the Russian Orthodox Church in the British Isles.
