« Condolences from Bishop Matthew of Sourozh on the repose of Archbishop Anatoly (Kuznetsov) »

His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh expressed condolences on the repose of Archbishop Anatoly (Kuznetsov).

To the relatives and spiritual children of Archbishop Anatoly (Kuznetsov)

Dear brothers and sisters!

Please accept my sincere condolences on the repose of His Grace Archbishop Anatoly.
Almost 70 years ago, Vladyka Anatoly became a faithful servant of the Russian Orthodox Church, accepting holy orders.  The entire life of the Vladyka was filled with zealous service at the Throne of God, care and concern for the clergy and flock.  For many people Vladyka showed a true example of the gospel's good shepherd with a loving heart, laying down his life for the sheep (John 10:11).
The archpastoral ministry of Vladyka Anatoly, which he endured in the British Isles for more than a quarter of a century, will forever remain a memorable page in the chronicle of the Sourozh diocese.
May Christ the Savior accept his soul into the place where the righteous rest, where there is no sickness, no sorrow, no sighing, but endless life.

Eternal memory to him!
