On May 9, 2023, at the Dormition Cathedral in London, His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh served a panikhida for the departed soldiers who laid down their lives for their faith, the Fatherland and the people, and for all those who died in suffering during the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945.
Archpriest Dimitry Nedostupenko, Secretary of the Diocese of Sourozh, co-served with His Grace.
At the end of the panikhida, Vladyka Matthew addressed those present with a brief word, noting the immortal feat of the leaders and warriors who laid down their lives for their faith, Motherland and the people, and all those who died in suffering during the tragic war years.
