On April 30, 2023, the 3rd Sunday after Pascha, of the Holy Myrrh-Bearing Women, His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh celebrated the Divine Liturgy at St.Peter and St.Paul Church in Dublin, Republic of Ireland.
His Grace was assisted by Archpriest Mikhail Nasonov, Dean of the Diocesan District of the Republic of Ireland, Rector of the Church, Archpriest Dimitry Nedostupenko, Secretary of the Diocese of Sourozh, clerics of the Irish Deanery of the Diocese of Sourozh, and guests in holy orders.
The diaconal rank was headed by Deacon Sergei Staravoitau.
The liturgical hymns were performed by the choir of St. Peter and St. Paul Church conducted by Tamara Butkovskaya.
At the Little Entrance, in consideration of diligent pastoral ministry, the following clerics of the Diocese of Sourozh were bestowed by Bishop Matthew with Patriarchal and hierarchal liturgical awards of the Russian Orthodox Church:

the right to celebrate the Divine Liturgy with the royal gates open until the Cherubim hymn

  • Priest John Kazadoev
  • Priest Gregory Oboroceanu
After the augmented litany, the Archpastor proclaimed a prayer for the granting of peace.
Following the communion verse, in the altar of the church, Vladyka Matthew awarded church warden Aleksey Gaskov and housekeeper Valery Pastushenko the right to wear an orarion.
After the Liturgy, Rector Archpriest Mikhail Nasonov, on behalf of the clergy and parishioners, addressed Vladyka Matthew with words of gratitude for the joy of concelebrating the divine Liturgy and the opportunity to communicate with the Archpastor.  After that, His Grace Vladyka delivered a sermon and congratulated ladies- parishioners of the church on the day of the myrrh-bearing women, each of whom, according to the established parish tradition, received flowers as a gift.
In conclusion, Vladyka Matthew, as a blessing for childbearing and sacrificial maternal ministry, handed over to D.V. Nasonova, wife of the Rector of the church, Patriarchal badge of motherhood II degree.  V.A. Pastushenko and director of the parochial school Yu.V. Sokolov, wife of Priest Sergei Sokolov, were awarded with the patriarchal medal "In memory of the 100th anniversary of the restoration of the Patriarchate in the Russian Orthodox Church".
Then the clergy and parishioners took part in a common festive meal.
On the same day Bishop Matthew of Sourozh departed for London.
