On April 16, 2022, on the eve of the 6th Sunday of Great Lent, Palm Sunday, the feast of the Lord's Entry into Jerusalem, His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh, temporary Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA and Canada, celebrated an all-night vigil at the Church of the Transfiguration of the Lord in Bogorodskoye, Moscow.Archpriest Damian Kruglik and the clergy of the church co-served with the Right Reverend Vladyka.
During Vespers, Vladyka Matthew served a litia with consecration of five loaves, wheat, wine and oil.
After the Gospel reading at Matins, the Archpastor blessed willow and palm branches as well as flowers brought by the parishioners, then the believers were anointed with consecrated oil.
