« Bishop Matthew of Sourozh took part in the celebrations on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the rectorship of Archpriest Damian Kruglik »

On October 2, 2022, on the 16th Sunday after Pentecost, Bishop Matthew of Sourozh took part in the celebrations on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the rectorship of Archpriest Damian Kruglik, Rector of the Transfiguration Church in Bogorodskoye, Moscow.

Archpriest Damian Kruglik, Priest Mikhail Volkov and Deacon Sergiy Kuznetsov co-served at the Divine Liturgy with His Grace Vladyka Matthew. Following the sacramental verse, Priest Andrey Tikhonov delivered a sermon.

At the end of the divine service, a thanksgiving moleben was served, followed by the veneration of the Cross. Then Father Damian was congratulated and presented with flowers and gifts.  Bishop Matthew presented a decorated archpriest's pectoral cross, and Priest Andrei, on behalf of the Parish Council, presented the icon of the Transfiguration of the Lord with a commemorative inscription. 

After that, "many years" was sung, a common photo was taken and all the parishioners were able to personally congratulate the Father Rector on the occasion of the anniversary of his pastoral service, the parish website reports.
