« The Liturgy was celebrated in the diocesan community of St. Ninian of Whithorn in Carlisle »

On Saturday, June 5, 2021, after a long break due to restrictions during the coronavirus pandemic, the Divine Liturgy was celebrated in the diocesan community of St. Ninian of Whithorn in Carlisle.
With the blessing of His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh, the divine service was celebrated by priest Anatoly Vikhrov, Rector of the parishes of St.Xenia of St. Petersburg in Leeds and of the Meeting of the Lord in Bradford, who was co-served by Priest Victor Akhryapin, cleric of the church of Great Martyr George Victory Bearer in Newcastle and of the diocesan community of St. Ninian in Carlisle, and Priest Nil Lubchenko, cleric of the parish of St. Kentigern in Glasgow.  Diring the Liturgy, parishioners and pilgrims from various cities of Northern England and Scotland prayed and received the Holy Mysteries of Christ.
At the end of the service, father Victor addressed those present with Easter greetings and congratulations on the occasion of the resumption of the divine services.  He warmly thanked fellow clergymen for the opportunity of joint concelebration and parishioners - for their prayers and participation in the Eucharist.  Special thanks were offered to Daria Shumitskaya, a singer from the Glasgow parish, who sang liturgical hymns during the Liturgy.
During the preparation and conduct of the service, all necessary safety measures, required to be taken during the coronavirus pandemic, as well as mandatory social distancing, were observed.
The date of the next Liturgy will be announced on the official Facebook website of the diocesan community of St. Ninian.
