On April 18, 2021, on the 5th Sunday of the Great Lent, the day of memory of the St.Mary of Egypt, His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh celebrated the Liturgy of St. Basil the Great at the Dormition Cathedral in London.

His Grace Vladyka Matthew was assisted by Priest Dimitry Nedostupenko, Secretary of the Sourozh diocese, and Protodeacon Vadim Santsevitch.

At the augmented litany, petitions were raised to get rid of the spread of the harmful epidemic - coronavirus infection.  Then His Grace Vladyka offered up a prayer, which is read during the spread of the harmful epidemic.

The liturgical hymns were sung by the quartet under the direction of the choir director Dmitry Tugarinov.

At the end of the Liturgy, the Right Reverend Archpastor addressed the parishioners with words of a sermon and spiritual edification.

The divine service was broadcast live on the diocesan page Life of Sourozh on the social network Facebook.
