The event was chaired by Rev. Baroness Maeve Sherlock, Shadow Minister of Work and Pensions of the House of Lords, Vice-Chairman of the Christian Palamenian Group.  The meeting, which focused on: “Building unity in a world of difference,” was attended by ministers, members of the British Parliament, the House of Lords and the House of Commons, ambassadors, heads and representatives of Christian denominations from all over the UK.  Speakers included John Bercow, Speaker of the House of Commons, Sarah Mulllally, Bishop of London (Anglican Church), members of Parliament, and guests of the event.  The meeting was attended by priest Dimitry Nedostupenko, Secretary of the Diocese of Sourozh.
The National Parliamentary Prayer Breakfast is an annual recognition of the contribution of Christianity to the national life of the United Kingdom, a unique platform for communication of politicians and church leaders, which allows to combine the efforts of secular authorities and representatives of Christian Churches to improve and change the social and spiritual life of citizens.
