« Christmas tree celebration took place at the parish school of the Cathedral of London »

On January 12, 2018, a traditional Christmas tree celebration took place at the parish school of the Dormition Cathedral in the city of London. A performance based on Oscar Wald fairy-tale "Star Boy" and a festive concert were attended by Bishop Matthew of Sourozh, Archpriest Maxim Nikolsky and Priest Dmitry Nedostupenko, Secretary of the Sourozh Diocese.
At the beginning of the feast, Ye. N. Poplavskaya, Director of the school, addressed many guests and participants of the concert with an introductory speach. After the the children's play, Christmas chants were performed by the choirs of the senior and junior groups of the Cathedral school.
At the conclusion of the matinee, Bishop Matthew of Surozh addressed all those present, noting that the feast of the Nativity of Christ is especially dear to every Christian and thanked the participants of the concert for their performance and organization. His Grace handed Christmas presents to teachers, parents and pupils of the parish school, who organized the festive event.
