On June 29, 2018, on the feast day of St. Theophan the Recluse of Vysha, His Grace Bishop Panteleimon of Orekhovo-Zuevo, vicar of His Holiness Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia, Chairman of the Synodal Department for Church Charity and Social Service,  and His Grace Bishop Matthew, ruling Bishop of the Sourozh Diocese, celebrated the Divine Liturgy at St. Nicholas Church in Oxford.

Archpriest Stefan Platt, rector of St. Nicholas Church, hieromonk Tikhon (Vasiliev), clergyman of the Donetsk Diocese, priest Dmitry Nedostupenko secretary of the Diocese of Sourozh, priest Stephen Fretwell (ROCOR), protodeacon Vadim Santsevich, clergyman of the London Cathedral, co-celebrated with the Bishops.
At the end of the service, His Grace and the clergy venerated the icon of St. Theophan the Recluse.

After the service, a meal was offered, that was arranged by the parishioners of the church.

During the visit to Oxford, Vladyka Panteleimon and Vladyka Matthew visited the cemetery of Headington, where they served a litya for Archimandrite Nicholas (Gibbes), teacher of the English language and the tutor of the Tsarevich Alexis, after that they venerated the tomb with relics of St.Frideswide, patron Saint of the city of Oxford (680-735) at the Christ Church.
At the end of the visit, Right Reverend Bishops visited the Greek Orthodox Church in honor of the Holy Trinity, met with the Orthodox and Anglican members of public.
