« Easter concert held at the parish school of the London Cathedral »

On May 18, 2019, a concert dedicated to Easter days, the upcoming feast of Saints Methodius and Cyril and the Day of Slavic Literature and Culture was held at the parish school of the Dormition Cathedral in the city of London.
With the blessing of His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh, Priest Dimitry Nedostupenko, Secretary of the Sourozh Diocese, Sacristan of the Dormition Cathedral in London, addressed the participants and guests.
Children's choirs of younger and older age groups under the direction of the Cathedral Choirmaster M.V.  Bezmenova sang spiritual songs and works of Russian composers.
During the concert there was a presentation of the cartoon "St. Theodore Ushakov", created by students and teachers of the parish school and dedicated to the 275th anniversary of the birth of the holy righteous warrior Theodore Ushakov.
At the invitation of the school director E.N. Poplavskaya, the festive event was attended by Alexander Novikov,  First Secretary of the Russian Embassy in the UK, who spoke about the history of the Arctic military convoys and about awarding their participants with the Ushakov medal.
At the end of the festive program, the participants have warmly congratulated Archpriest Maxim Nikolsky, cleric of the Cathedral, who had taught and spiritually nursed parish school students for many years, with his 80th anniversary.
